Seth Jarvis of the Carolina Hurricanes believes he had a concussion in Monday's Game 7 against the New York Rangers, and he is still experiencing symptoms.

Jarvis met with the media for the final time this season on Thursday and shared his memories of the series finale.

He remembers being hit by Rangers defenseman Jacob Trouba and being thrown across the ice. Jarvis appeared to be rattled up during the play and took a long time to get to the bench.

Jarvis also recalled seeing some of the third period from the trainers' room before being driven home by teammate Jesperi Kotkaniemi. Aside from that, it's all a haze until the middle of the next day.

Though he's feeling better, the 20-year-old admitted that he's still "in a fog."

Jarvis finished the regular season eighth on the rookie scoring list with 40 points in 68 games. In 14 postseason appearances, he scored three goals and added eight points.

Jarvis' injury refocuses attention on Trouba, as it isn't the first time one of his heavy hits has gotten him in trouble.

Trouba started it all off with a big hit on Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby in Game 5 of the first round. Crosby would not compete in that competition or the one after that.

Trouba made a tremendous open-ice hit on Max Domi in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against Carolina, then dropped the gloves with Steven Lorentz shortly after.

The latter was given an instigator penalty, which gave the Rangers a power play opportunity, which they took advantage of to take a 1-0 lead on their way to tying the series.

Trouba received no penalty or suspension for any of the three hits.

While Jarvis continues to monitor his symptoms, Trouba and the Rangers are leading the Eastern Conference final 1-0 over the Tampa Bay Lightning, who have won two Stanley Cups in a row.
