NFL Sued by Musician Bobby Nunn over Use of Song 'Rocket 2 U' on Broadcasts

Due to the use of his song "Rocket 2 U" in several broadcasts, singer Bobby Nunn is suing the NFL.

Nunn, who created and produced the 1988 hit song for the Jets, reportedly filed a lawsuit against the NFL and NBC Universal on Wednesday in New York, according to TMZ Sports

Nunn claims that the songs was used numerous times without his consent. Nunn also claims that neither the NFL nor he were ever granted a licence for the song

nor was he ever paid for its use. The league and its TV partner denied infringement when he contacted them about the issue, according to him.

A Sunday Night Football game between the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings in January is said to have featured the song.

In support of his claim, Nunn attached a screen shot from the broadcast's section where the music was played.

Nunn wants the NFL and NBC to stop using his music without his permission, as well as financial compensation.
