The Dallas Mavericks have significantly altered their roster to centre it around Luka Doncic during the past year.

They acquired big man Christian Wood in a trade this offseason alone, and they also acquired JaVale McGee through a three-year contract.

But those weren't the only significant adjustments they've recently made.

Kristaps Porzingis was traded from Dallas to the Washington Wizards at the trade deadline in exchange for Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans.

One proposal, though, might be able to help them add some consistency as they continue to restructure their lineup.

A fascinating nugget of knowledge was provided by Miami Heat insider Greg Sylvander in a Five On The Floor podcast broadcast from July 28.

According to Sylvander, the Heat might be able to send Duncan Robinson straight to Dallas in exchange for Davis Bertans.

On the podcast, Sylvander added, "As I trolled around some of the individuals that I speak to leaguewide,

they were like, 'Hey, that's a guy you could probably get for Duncan straight up.

Although the hosts of the show agreed that Miami definitely shouldn't make that transaction,

they suggested that the Mavericks look into it from their point of view.
