"To the great fans in Nashville, thank you for all your well wishes!!" the Poison vocalist wrote in a post on Instagram on Thursday after visiting the hospital while touring with the band in Nashville.

He went on, "I was really excited to perform in Music City, but it was not feasible due to an unexpected medical issue and the subsequent hospitalisation.

Since I won't be able to rock the stage tonight, please accept my sincere apologies." Michaels, 59, advised followers to visit his website, which kept collapsing due to "heavy traffic,"

I'm going to try my hardest to rock Jacksonville and come back for a gig in Nashville at some point soon."
